What’s more important for baby boomers; 1) Losing weight and an active lifestyle or 2) Travel?

I am considering two areas of interest for the baby boomers as an offset for my practice as a Chiropractor and Athletic Trainer. I am a coach for healthy lifestyles through exercise. A friend thinks that travel is the biggest industry for this group and all others as well.

Have you considered active travel? Like the walking aspect of touring, or bike tours or things like that? I know few people who can enjoy travelling while unable to get around themselves without discomfort.

Your friend is correct, travel seems to be the most important of the two choices, but a lot of them are looking more into the health and fitness aspect these days compared to some of the other past generations in this age bracket.

To me personally, it is important to be healthy and to have a physically fit body and mind so I think it is important to be active and have an active lifestyle. Fortunately I do not have to worry about losing weight and I am very busy but my work also is keeping active and I get exercise from walking.
I also like to travel because I love to learn about our world and see the world with my own eyes. I know that when I retire (which is when I do not have to continue to work) I would start to travel more often.
I hope this answer provide a little insight into your question.
